Dr. Eric Shepherd is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex orthopedic trauma reconstruction, pelvic reconstruction, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He serves as the Medical Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and holds California licenses in fluoroscopy and X-ray supervision. Dr. Shepherd earned his B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, Riverside, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and his M.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University, followed by fellowships at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Dr. Shepherd is a fifth-generation Californian and a proud Eagle Scout.
